As part of our efforts to comply with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI), Town of Manchester is working to identify the materials used in water service lines throughout our community.

Your home  has a service line that we need to inspect or confirm to determine if it contains lead or galvanized materials. This is a critical step in ensuring the safety and quality of your drinking water.

We are requesting your assistance in one or more of the following ways:
– Allowing access for a quick in-home inspection of the service line connection.
– Completing a short survey or test to help identify your service line material.
– Sharing any documentation or records you may have from past plumbing work.

If a lead or galvanized service line is found, we will notify you and explain the next steps, including potential replacement options. There is no cost to you for the inspection or reporting.

Please contact us at 410-239-3200 or email dowens@manchestermd.gov to schedule an inspection or request more information.
