Yard Waste Pick Up / Container Policy:

Yard waste pick up will begin  on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 and continue through Wednesday, December 16, 2026.

Yard waste consists of grass clippings, leaves, and small branches not in excess of 3 feet and/or 4″ in diameter.  Branches must be bundled in arm-full loads.  Yard waste should not be mixed with mulch, dirt, or any residential refuse, including pet waste.  Residents should place lawn waste curbside on Tuesday evening for Wednesday’s pickup.

All yard waste must be placed in large Kraft paper bags or in a container to be dumped. NO PLASTIC BAGS   Please call Town Office at (410) 239-3200 if you have any questions!

Waste or Sewer Emergency:  For any water or sewer emergencies after hours, please call 410-861-3130.

DOG OWNERSDogs must be kept on leash, cord or chain when not on premises of the owner.

 PAINT CAN DISPOSAL ISSUES  DO NOT PLACE CANS WITH UNDRIED PAINT IN THE TRASH!!   Paint MUST BE COMPLETELY DRIED with either cat litter or shredded paper. These guidelines must be followed or Hughes will not collect the trash.

 CHARLOTTE B. COLLETT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP recipient is Molly Devers ($1,000).

 MILITARY BANNER PROGRAM  The Town of Manchester is grateful for the service and sacrifice of the men and women who protect our country.  Active-duty military members, veterans and families of fallen service members who have lived in Manchester or Lineboro are invited to apply. Please find the application at the Town Office or online at www.Manchestermd.gov.

OFFICE CLOSED  Town Offices will be closed June 19th  and July 3rd.

WATER BILLS will be mailed out by July 1st – Due before July 30th

JUDGE JOE GETTY will present “The History of Manchester” on Thursday, June 18th at 7:30pm at the Town Hall.

Come and enjoy dinner and evening of history and entertaining stories about the Town.
