More than 20 years ago, local teacher and councilwoman Charlotte Collett dreamed of a place where community members and local students could connect with nature. Charlotte Collett’s passion and dedication to this vision inspired others, and soon an interpretive building opened in Manchester’s Pine Valley Park. Students from local schools voted on the center’s name after Mrs. Collett herself, and Charlotte’s Quest for the Outside World was born. Over the years, under the direction of dedicated board members, and with support from the Town of Manchester, surrounding community, along with loyal nature lovers and members, Charlotte’s Quest has thrived while staying true to Charlotte’s original vision.
